Job Description

Tasks:

  • Requirements analysis, test approach/strategy, test planning, test scheduling, E2E Voice test execution
  • Configure and manage test environments and test data
  • Works closely with development team members to drive rapid resolution of identified issues and provide internal department support
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues
  • Responsible for Defect and Test reporting to VoXX DevOps team
  • Develop and execute system level, functional and non-functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory and performance tests
  • Develop and employ testing strategy and tools based on interactions with feature architects and software engineers, based on 3GPP standards and customer requirements.
  • Write and run automated tests.
  • Build automated test environments.
  • Liaise with the stakeholders to explore and suggest appropriate testing strategies and solutions.
  • Regular interfacing with vendors
  • Responsible for quality validation, defect triage discussions and handling the technical queries or issues etc.
  • Engage in continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous testing of infrastructure and services.
  • Prepare and continuously improve technical documentation
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills using tools like Wireshark
  • Test Execution and management tools: HP QC. etc

 

Job requirements

Professional skills:

  • University degree in Technical area (Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems or related field)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies in Linux based environments (hypervisor and/or container-based virtualization)
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and network security
  • Experience in one or more of the following DevOps tools: Gitlab, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Git, Gerrit, Ansible

Specific skills (Methods, trends, language, knowledge):

Experience in one or more of the following areas

  • Public/Private Cloud Architectures (Openstack)
  • Linux/Unix operating system knowledge and shell scripting.
  • Working within an Agile environment a plus
  • IP protocols
  • Familiarity with one or more scripting/programming languages and/or tools such as: C++, C, MySQL, Perl, JAVA, Python is a big plus.
  • CI/CD processes and tools (GitLab, Ansible, Kubernetes, Tosca, Jenkins, Maven)
  • Strong Protocol Knowledge of SIP, Diameter, INAP, SOAP, LDAP, Camel
  • Working knowledge in CS core and IMS domains, mainly in VoLTE/VoWiFi, SIP
  • Hands-on experience in platforms like Linux
  • English language - fluent (excellent verbal and written communication skills)
