Your tasks

Whether it's a compulsory or voluntary internship - as an intern / flexikant (m/f/d) you will benefit in any case from an attractive remuneration and flexible working hours. You will support the team with the following responsible tasks:

 

  • Assess and demonstrate the technical feasibility and potential of new WLAN technologies and WLAN concepts with focus on residential indoor and new applications
  • Prepare and conduct functional tests under laboratory conditions and WLAN performance tests in a test building
  • Develop and apply test concepts to assess new WLAN technologies and mechanisms e.g., Wi-Fi 7 Multilink Operation/Pre-amble Puncturing, Low Latency Low Loss Scalable Throughput (L4S) over Wi-Fi, QoS/Time Sensitive Networking Support, Sensing
  • Define test cases and measurement setups for WLAN evaluation tests
  • Implement WLAN Access Point/Client devices based on latest WLAN solutions and available prototype technologies
  • Prepare test documentation and visualize measured test data

Your Profile

You are studying MBA or a comparable degree program or are in your gap year. In addition, you have the following knowledge and skills:

 

  • Knowledge in local networks and lower layer protocols: LAN technology, wireless standards, IP, UDP/TCP
  • Good experience in Excel for the preparation and visualization of Wi-Fi test results
  • Basic HW/SW knowledge: Implementation of WLAN specific modules (communication interface/API/driver SW)
  • Basic OS knowledge: Windows, Linux, …
  • Experience in wireless testing applying common test tools (IxChariot, iPerf, WireShark, …) and analyzer tools (Spectrum Analyzer, WLAN Heatmapper, ...) would be beneficial

 

Important working condition:

  • No remote working; onsite testing in Darmstadt and in a test building in Bensheim
