Your tasks
The Internet of Things (IoT) is not just a buzzword. Large corporations and medium-sized companies, all industries and sectors are equally called upon to digitize their production chains and develop new business models from them. Around 30 billion "things" - such as cars, refrigerators or elevators - are currently connected via the Internet worldwide. And we are only at the beginning. As Deutsche Telekom, we are helping to shape digitization.
In order to drive digitization with IoT, we are looking for an innovation pioneer who feels comfortable in an agile environment and is passionate about finding digital and innovative solutions for our customers in EU.
You will be in charge of developing, aligning, and driving selected high-priority B2B product marketing topics across our EU footprint. In that context, you help developing and constantly refining the B2B product strategy within Europe, managing the B2B product roadmap, as well as pushing prioritized initiatives within the NatCos. You also connect local NatCo product “demand” with the available “supply” from Group functions such as DTIOT or the Global Partnering Team - in addition, you actively foster Cross-NatCo collaboration and best-practice sharing. The tasks include:
- Identifying and assessing strategic areas of operation based on the company's or Group's strategy and business potential with new technologies
- Developing business cases and business models for parts of new and existing business, including evaluating and making decisions about the impact on the portfolio as a whole
- Preparing cost-effectiveness analyses and identifying portfolio gaps, potential, and implementation measures, including risk analyses
- Carrying out market and customer analyses to evaluate market potential as well as trend analyses
- Conducting feasibility studies in coordination with stakeholders involved
- Advising management on strategic issues relating to the product portfolio
- Managing strategically aligned projects
- Management of multiple joint HQ/NatCo projects and streams of larger Corporate Programs
- Collaboration with NatCo counterparts both on working and executive level
- Close alignment with Sales/G2M colleagues in order to jointly drive the business
Your Profile
You have many years of experience in the telecommunications industry - ideally both at group level and in operational responsibility in the country. A comparable vocational training with a corresponding specialization or additional specialist training or several years of professional experience in the field of business development and innovation.
You are also characterized by detailed company-specific knowledge or exceptional specialist knowledge and skills:
- You have already worked in the telecommunication industry for several years – ideally combining experience in the headquarter and in NatCo projects/roles
- You have excellent soft skills and intercultural competency – combined with a senior standing
- You take initiatives, drive topics independently, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- You are an experienced project manager with track record of managing international and virtual teams
- Consulting Background would be appreciated
- You have sound knowledge of IoT propositions, both connectivity and solutions/applications, and have experience in managing products and partners
- Your verbal and presentation skills are outstanding and you have excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
- You are proficient with MS-Office tools, especially Power Point, Word and Excel.
